Girls, I want to tell you my story about lupus. I was in South America for a little while, working a lot outside in the sun. What I didnt realise is that the great exposure to sun triggered flare-ups affecting my internal organs. One thing led towards the other and suddenly by foot was so swollen I couldnt walk anymore. By the time I arrived in the mediocre hospital I was told I had to be operated immediately or I could die. However, with the time difference, I couldnt reach my insurance. The day after I was flown out of the hospital by helicopter back to my country. It was an absolute nightmare.
