I noticed that multiple sclerosis is a subject that a lot of women might feel related to, is there a reason for it?

Good question, Em27. That is something I have noticed myself. Actually, women are more prone to develop autoimmune diseases than men. That said, I would also argue that women are more open to sharing their personal stories and experiences. We open up more easily.
