I have had strong period pain for as long as I can remember. I am currently having my first real long-term boyfriend and having regular sexual intercourse. Sex truly helps to decrease the pain. Try it! However, be aware that your vagina can be dryer than usually during your period so I recommend to use lubricant

Never had sex during my period, but having it when I feel it's coming usually triggers the beginning, and it is less paintfull.
