I recently went to the gyn for a check-up and was shocked to learn I am infected with HPV and have CIN II pre-cancer stage. I had no idea HPV can lead to cervical cancer and am so afraid right now. Plus I usually use condoms to avoid STDs and am shocked this is happening to me. I am feeling so stupid and helpless and am just waiting for this HPV to go away. The doctor said I should wait for three months and then come back and check again. It's so frustrating. Can anyone give me any advice on what to do in this waiting period?

So sorry to hear that @MaryaBrazil! I once had CIN I and it did go away on its own. I did take vitamin D suppositories. I can't promise it helps but it did help me mentally to deal with my situation. I found some more ideas in this book https://www.amazon.de/HPV-Free-Holistic-Infection-Naturally/dp/1980881065/ref=asc_df_1980881065/?tag=googshopde-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=310714832621&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=11033503560626786096&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9044680&hvtargid=pla-570303047642&psc=1&th=1&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=65868427870&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=310714832621&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=11033503560626786096&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9044680&hvtargid=pla-570303047642 written by a women who used to have HPV. There is also this former doctor Le Roy. His approach seems controversial but many women write that his alternative procedure made their cervical dysplasia disappear . He wrote a book that you might want to check out: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/MS-Nicholas-LeRoy-DC/dp/1512231657/ref=sr_1_3?crid=YKKMDWA01JRW&keywords=hpv&qid=1656446747&sprefix=hpv%2Caps%2C201&sr=8-3

Hey there!! My Pap test also came back positive. My doctor said I needed a colposcopy and the more I read about it the more I am freaking out. Is it painful when they wash the cervix and remove tissue?

I received the same diagnosis 2 years ago, and started going for PAP smears every 3 months to track any changes. At one point, they discovered a polyp which was pre-cancerous . We operated to remove it last December. After the operation, together with a low-inflammatory diet and exercise plus keeping stress levels low, my last two PAP smears have reported negative for HPV! It’s true, the doctors can’t seem to offer solid predictions and info about what you can do exactly. So do whatever makes you healthier in general, and happier as a person, and hope for the best!
